Please follow the steps below to complete your installation of NETePay EVO Canadian EMV (GP) Host - NDH 5.06.11

Step 1 - Install Database

For versions of NETePay that require database services for local data storage it is necessary to install one of the following based on your POS server's OS.

This installs a personalized instance of the Microsoft SQL Express 2008 R2 to provide database services to NETePay installed on Windows 7, 8, and 10

This installs a personalized instance of the Microsoft SQL Express 2005 to provide database services to NETePay installed on Windows Vista Business Edition or Windows Server 2008.

This installs a personalized instance of the Microsoft Data Engine (MSDE) to provide database services to NETePay installed on Windows 2000 or XP. (If a version of SQL was previously installed on the PC, a matching or newer version should be installed)

Step 2 - Install Client Control

In order to communicate with this NETePay your POS may use one of the following ActiveX controls depending on the integration method chosen by the POS developer. If you are unsure of which to install please contact POS technical support.

Datacap’s out-of-scope ActiveX control for Canadian EMV transactions.

Re-certified to include contactless support for the VeriFone VX820 and should be used with NETePay for Mercury and Global Canadian Host EMV v5.06.10 and above. Not backward compatible with previous NETePay versions.

  • Contactless MSD transactions now follow the contactless CVM limit corresponding to its card brand.
  • Manually adds the 9F35 tag (terminal type) on EMV contactless transactions when the Vx820 does not provide one (always). This corrects an issue where some issuing banks were not receiving the tag and declining transactions.
  • Increases the delay after closing COM port to 750 ms when using USB.

New parameter "Enable Contactless" added which allows contactless to be enabled/disabled within NETePay for ISVs who've opted not to support the <DisableContactless> element as part of EMVParamDownload. If <DisableContactless> is sent its value overrides this setting.
